I'm Rachel and I am the owner and dyer at Pook Yarns.

About me...

Knitting, crochet and yarn is in my blood.  My great aunt owned a yarn shop in Rhyl during the 1960's and 70's.  My mum ran a machine knitting business from home while I was a child.  My dad also loved to knit.

I started dyeing yarn in 2015, focusing on gradient yarns. Under the business name Pook GB I ran a popular monthly yarn club and dyed gradient yarns for my Etsy shop from my home in Manchester, United Kingdom.  I was also very fortunate to be a vendor at Yarndale, Wonderwool, Yarningham and Woolfest.

In 2019, my family and I moved from the United Kingdom to Kolding in the south of Denmark.  My dyes and yarn came with me, and I soon started my new business, Pook Yarns.  I am still obsessed with gradient yarn!
